Pole fitness featured on Australia’s A Current Affair

Pole fitness is one of the most comprehensive and results-oriented workouts possible. It demands the strength of gymnastics, the focus of Yoga and gets the heart racing better than any treadmill.

What makes pole fitness so different to other workouts is you don’t feel like you are doing a workout. Instead, you are absorbed in the moves, the technique, the beauty of the positions and challenging your-self to get more flexible.

Each class makes you stronger, more flexible and more toned. You develop small, longer muscles, better posture and you make friends. Lots of friends! There is a whole pole fitness/dancing/art community around the world. The reason people love pole fitness is because it becomes a life long challenge! You can get strong and flexible at any age. These days pole fitness is popular with people aged 5 to 65 years old.

There are over 170 official pole moves (source: International Pole Sports Federation). The most extreme of them requiring elite level flexibility and strength. The sport is a real challenge but people are embracing it all over the world. There are now more than 20 Pole Sports Federations all over the world and growing!

Pole Princess Weight Loss Challenge – Australia’s A Current Affair

In 2010 Pole Princess decided to be the first pole dance studio in Australia to really put their classes to the test and prove that pole fitness really is great for exercise. They put the call out for women to sign up to a challenge and commit to three hours a week for a duration of 8-weeks to change their lives! And boy did they...
The competition was so popular it featured on A Current Affair.
Below you can see the before and after shots of the top three contestants – On average each contestant lost five kilos.

Elissa won the challenge by dropping an amazing 12.4kg's and 53% skin-fold reduction. (That's more than half her body fat!!!!)
